OLP-5 cihazı, tek başına kullanılabildiği gibi basit çıkış testleri için ışık kaynağı ile birlikte sinyal kayıplarını ölçmek için kullanılır. OPL-5 cihazı, fiberdeki ışık çiflerinin modülasyon frekanslarını tespit etmek için JDSU ışık kaynağı ile birlikte kullanılır.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Avuca sığan OLP-5 Optik Güç Ölçer aygıtı, fiber optik sistemler üzerindeki optik güç ve kayıp ölçümleri yapmaktadır.Pil ile çalıştırılan bu cihaz; LAN, Telekom, CATV (Cable TV), DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) sistemleri kurulumlarında ve bakımlarında kullanılır. OLP-5 optik güçmetre cihazı 100 µm kor çap değerine sahip singlemode ve multimode fiber kabloya bağlanabilir. Farklı üreticilerin farklı konnektör tiplerine sahip sistemlerinde yürütülen testler UPP (Universal Push Pull) arayüz adaptörü ile kolay bir şekilde yapılabilmektedir. UPP arayüzü (2.5 mm ferrule) sayesinde atenüasyon* ölçmek için uygun bir optik kaynağa ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Acterna'nın OLS-5 LED Kaynağı ve OLS-6 Laser Kaynağı bu uygulama için idealdir. Modüle edilmiş ve edilmemiş ışık sinyalleri ölçülebilir. Modüle edilmiş ışık sinyallerine gelince; hem sistem sinyalleri hem de 270 Hz, 330 Hz, 1 KHz ve 2 KHz standart sabit frekanslara sahip sinyaller için ortalama optik güç ölçümü gösterilmektedir. Farklı sabit frekanslara sahip modüle edilmiş sinyal mod'u, fiber kablo demetinde fiberin tespit edilmesinde kullanılabilir.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;TWINtest test süresini yarıda keser ve 850/1300 nm ya da 1310/1550 nm dalga boylarında otomatik atenüasyon ölçüm modu ile cihaz kullanımı basitleştirilmiştir. JDSU OLS ışık kaynağı ile birlikte kullanıldığında hatalı ölçüm sonucu çıkmamaktadır. Sinyal gücünü ölçen aygıt otomatik olarak iletilen dalga boyunu tespit eder. Bu sayede cihaz hafızasına kayıtlı dalgaboyu değerleri kullanılarak 850/1300 nm ya da 1310/1550 nm dalgaboyunda ölçüm kolaylıkla yapılabilir. &lt;br /&gt;Auto-lambda modunda otomatik dalgaboyu tespiti ve JDSU OLS ışık kaynağı ürünü ile birlikte kullanıldığında basit bir şekilde fiber testi yapılabilmektedir. &lt;br /&gt;Ön panelde yer alan Üç adet düğme kanalıyla kullanım kolaylığı sağlar.
